I have not decided my position on this issue.

I believe in abortion only in those circumstances surrounding; the mother's health, rape, and incest. I am pro-choice however, I believe a person has a right to choose whether to HAVE sex or NOT, that is where the choice lies, not when a person is growing inside of you.

I believe education is the means by which we can combat poverty, that teachers are overworked and underpaid, and that no child left behind is a good idea but it is not practical in the least bit. I believe with the current amount of hoops that educators must jump through, the government will scare away all it's good teachers within 10 years, leaving a huge teacher shortage crisis.

We must decrease our dependecny on oil and increase funding for alternative energy source development.

I believe we are destroying the beauty and wealth of our planet, through our lust for wealth and comfort. We must reform large companies emissions and get fully on board with the Kyoto protocols. 

Isolationism does not work, we must be involved with foreign countires. And that participation must not only be in an arrogant take charge in everything sort of way. We must realize for the US to be truly successful we must open lines of communication and realize that most options are always preferable to the horrors of war. But as a last result our fine military will be ready to defnd this country til the bitter end.

I believe keeping the idea and term marriage sacred as between a man and a woman. However if someone so chooses to live their life in such a way opposed to that standard, I believe they should not be denied certain civic rights given to married people. They should be able to declare civil unions, however the words and terms surrounding marriage and the religious implications of that commitment should always be sacred.

I believe cheap afforable health care should be avaiable to all americans, with government regulating and helping to share in the burden to allow those things to happen. And government should provide full health coverage for those children and disabled who thorugh no fault of their own cannot afford to recieve the proper care. However, I do not beieve it is the responsibility of the government to provide full medical coverage for every able bodied american.

I believe we must first secure our borders, through increases in border security personnel and technologies,that allow those personnel to cover more gorund strategicly. Then I believe we need to devise some process for those illegals who are here to achieve citizenship. It is not practical to think we are going to take 10-20 million people and send them back to their orginal nations. If they become citizens however it will allow us to cut down on them recieving services without paying taxes.

The Iraqi government must step up their efforts toward independence. A timetable with clear dates and goals is absolutely necessary, while complete withdraw without a stable and secure Iraq would be catastrophic.

I do think the mesures we have in place have thus far seem adequate, so I would continue those, but improvements can still be made in the areas of port cargo security.

I do believe in a progressive tax policy where that the higher the income of the taxpayer the greater the proportion or percentage paid in that tax.

We need some viable plan that is able to meet the needs of an ever older population with many medical needs. I believe allowing some social security to be planned and managed by outside reputable companies might result in greater yields with our social security funding.
